If pips are the smallest amount by which a currency quote can change, why do some sites say it is 0.0001 for U.S.-dollar related currency?
The EUR/USD is at 1.43647–that would put the second “4″ as the pip. But by the definition I thought the last digit “7″ was the pip.
Which is it? Please help
Their options are different too, as I understand it, as some have european style options trading. I would think after hours would be different too…perhaps requiring an extra premium for that trading.

The obvious answer that occurs to me is, “the othrer punters pay”.
But in that case it is all a matter of luck, with a zero sum, since no one knows what the currency market will do.
