We all know that the 30 day credit repair for $ 300 deal is a scam.
But one question stated that his credit union person offered him this.
Are banks now running this scam?
He did delete the question after I asked if this was one of those little signs OUTSIDE his credit union. But I could have been wrong.
Are banks now runnning these scams?
No company can “repair” a persons credit; a person on their own can get their credit report and look at it to see if there is any false/incorrect info in it, then take steps to have the info removed/corrected. Even when someone tries to clean up their credit report, it will take time for the incorrect info to be removed ( months to years ). Don’t waste $ $ on the “repair” scams
No. I read the question. The guy was without clue one what he was paying for and/or to whom.
depending on why you go to a place to get your credit repaired, well you can clean up the credit report all by yourself, and if you have a problem on there like a judgment then that’s not going to come off till you pay it off so there’s no use hiring someone to clean your record because when they update which is usually monthly that judgment will be right back on your credit report.
So although credit repair people do the job they are supposed to do or say they will do the problem is that you pay them to erase the item for one month and that’s all, so $ 300 is appropriate.
